Love Box® Program Volunteer Requirements
We're so happy that you're interested in becoming a Love Box® volunteer!
Love Box® volunteers are matched with a local foster family and commit to showing up at least once a month to offer practical, emotional, and social support. While the relationships ideally last a lifetime, the program does include a one-year commitment.

Step 1: Schedule Discovery Call
Schedule a discovery call with our Case Management Team to learn more about the Love Box® program and ensure it's the right fit for you. Please use the Schedule Discovery Call link to access the calendar. If the days and times available do not work for you, please contact Leona at [email protected] directly to find a day and time that is best. A member of our Case Management Team will call you over the phone on the date and time you select.
Step 2: Apply to Volunteer
Please complete the Love Box® Volunteer Application so our team has the information they need to match you with a compatible family on our waitlist. Once submitted, you can expect to hear from a member of our Case Management Team within 2–3 business days.
Step 3: Volunteer Training
At this stage of the volunteer onboarding process, you will be assigned a Case Manager. They are here to match you with a compatible family and help you with your volunteer experience. Your Case Manager will schedule your Love Box® Volunteer Training. Feel free to preview the Volunteer Training Presentation and the Volunteer Training Packet prior to your scheduled training session.
Step 4: Love Box® Program Payment
Please submit your one-time Love Box® program payment. This fee covers the cost of one background check for the volunteer who will have direct contact with the family, as well as essential items to help you prepare and deliver your first Love Box®. Your contribution ensures a safe and impactful start to your journey of supporting a foster family through consistent, intentional care.
Step 5: Love Box® Liability & Confidentiality
By completing your program registration with Amarillo Angels, you are providing consent to our Liability & Confidentiality Form. This form helps us protect the privacy of the children, youth, and families we serve.
Step 6: Love Box® Photo Release
By completing your program registration with Amarillo Angels, you are providing consent to our Photo Release. This form allows us to share meaningful stories and moments that highlight the impact of our programs.
