Texas DFPS Scholarships: 
Freshmen Success Fund for Foster Youth (One-time grant of $1,000 available for first-time college freshmen,
formerly in DFPS foster care. Students must be enrolled in a state supported college, university, or vocational
school that accepts the tuition and fee waiver.)

Other Private Grants and Scholarships:
National Foster Parent Association (NFPA) (offers scholarships designed to help foster families pay for education beyond high school.)
Casey Family Programs (dedicated to improving the child welfare system and providing educational opportunities
for children in foster care.)
Horatio Alger Scholarships (between $2,500 and $10,000 disbursed annually, to each qualified recipient.)
All-Star College Scholarship (awards one incoming college freshman under the age of 20 up to $40,000 to help cover the costs of college, including tuition, books and other expenses.)
Porch Scholarship (To help assist the next generation of professionals, Porch will award a $2,000 scholarship four times a year to eligible students.)
