Founder and former Executive Director of Amarillo Angels and still volunteering to help with special projects and events.
Gwen met and married her college sweetheart, Andy while attending WT. Andy and Gwen have three children - Erin and her husband Ben and their son Drew. They are also grandparents to the three most wonderful grandchildren in the whole world.
She is energized by spending time with and helping people and if you want to engage her in a conversation, just ask her about her faith, her family, or Amarillo Angels.
Likes:
Her family and friends, helping and serving others, chocolate anything, travel and cute shoes.
Dislikes:
Creepy crawly things (snakes, bugs, etc), negativity and rudeness.
From the classroom and school counseling center to regional education administrative roles and to founding and leading Amarillo Angels for nine years, love and care for children has been a continuous thread that has run through Gwen's 45 years long professional and volunteer life. Known for her ability to create change through hard work, she has the ability to engage others to help make the world a better place for all children.
She has trained and led staff development around the world for teachers, administrators, community groups and volunteers sharing her gifts of communication and hope for the future.
